But what is you are looking for a particular file type or you want results to be just from sites or you want to just search the title of each website?Most of the times we end up searching the entire pageful of results to get what you desired.

Well there is a way in which you could fire a Google query and get exactly what you want. Google support prefix keywords in its query and following are the supported keywords and there significances with few examples for better understanding.

  1. allinanchor:keyword – list results ordered by number of anchor texts as keyword For example allinanchor:love. Note the difference in http://www.google.com/search?q=allinanchor%3Alove and http://www.google.com/search?q=love
  2. allinlinks: searches only within links, not text or title.
  3. allintext: searches only within text of pages, but not in the links or page title
  4. allintitle: shows only results with terms in title.
  5. allinurl: shows only pages with all terms in the url.
  6. cache:url gives you google’s recorded version of webpage.
  7. daterange: is supported in Julian date format only. 2452384 is an example of a Julian date. For example Star Wars daterange:2452122-2452234 .
  8. filetype: does a search for a specific file type. For example filetype:doc will search for Microsoft word files along with search query.
  9. info:url will give you description about a given site. This is same as typing url in search box.
  10. intitle: same as allintitle, but only for the next word.
  11. intitle:search google finds only pages with search in the title, and google anywhere on the page.
  12. inurl: like allinurl, but only for the next query word.
  13. link:www.site.com – Shows other pages that links to that url.
  14. maps: shortcut to do a google maps search.
  15. phone: searches for anything that looks like a phonenumber.
  16. related:www. site.com – find sites that Google considers related.
  17. site:www.site.com – restrict search the pages of a specified site.
  18. spell: does a spellcheck on your query. you don’t have to do this, google will automatically spellcheck any words searched.
  19. stocks: does a search for stocks quotes of a company. For example stocks:GOOG .
