iPhone 4S: Physical Strength Test Video

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you drop your iPhone? Do you want to know if the retina glass display of the iPhone 4s can withstand a simple fall from your hands? Checkout the eye opening video.

I ran into this iPhone 4S vs Samsung Galaxy SII drop test video and I was really shocked to see the results.

Video from Youtube :)

I agree that the iPhone looks a lot cooler than Samsung Galaxy S II, but what the use if your expensive iPhone gets ruined in just one simple fall. Major reason for fragility is iPhones glass display v/s Samsung Galaxy s twos plastic display.

So if you are not really good at handling your Phones and thinking to but your own iPhone think again you might just invite more pain in your life by dropping the most beautiful thing on the planet.

  1. Just fyi, the Galaxy S2 does have a Gorilla Glass screen, not plastic.
The main point is that the iphone simply is made out of low quality materials compared to the Galaxy S2.
Another reason might be the fact, that the iphone is a lot heavier than the Galaxy S2 so the impact is much harder.

  2. Thanks for your comment. While I agree about the screen as well as weight aspect of iPhone its really difficult to digest your view on the poor quality material used in iPhone. Do you have any evidence for that?

  3. That was perhaps slightly exaggerated, but as far as i know the iphone does not use Gorilla Glass and i have heard lots of complaints about scratched screens. I myself have only seen one scratched Gorilla Glass phone, but several Iphones with scratches or edges broken off wich leads me to the conclusion that Apples glass is inferior to Cornings version.

  4. Hmmm..Let me take this opportunity to share a story with you..When iPhone was Scheduled to launch for the first time it was planned to have a plastic screen..It was Steve Jobs last minute decision to have high quality Glass for the interface part. The engineers literally had to rethink and re architect the iPhone design to accommodate the glass in iPhone that too at the same or very little extra cost. I am not sure if high quality meant good in viewing and less in durability. I am not sure if you are aware but there is a website dedicated for iPhone scratches..http://iphonescratches.com/
